Lotte Donates 1 Billion KRW for Flood Damage Recovery Efforts

Use for damage facility restoration, disaster victim support, etc.

Employees of Lotte Data Communication Company are visiting the Geumcheon-gu area affected by heavy rain to carry out flood recovery activities.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte has donated 1 billion KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help restore areas affected by the heavy rains. This fund will be used for restoring damaged facilities and supporting disaster victims. Various support activities are also being carried out by each group company.

The Lotte Group's distribution sector proactively provided about 9,000 emergency relief supplies, 400 relief kits for disaster victims, and 120 temporary shelter partitions, focusing on severely affected areas. Additionally, they plan to provide mobile shower rooms and restrooms and deploy laundry relief vehicles at restoration sites. Lotte Corporation delivered about 2,500 bottles of drinking water and 300 daily necessities to Songpa District Office. Lotte Data Communication visited Geumcheon District, which was damaged by the heavy rains, to conduct flood recovery activities.

Lotte has established an emergency relief cooperation system with the National Disaster Relief Association, large and small businesses, and the Foundation for Agricultural and Fisheries Cooperation to secure disaster relief funds and prepare relief kits for rapid support in case of disasters. In March, they supported 1 billion KRW for wildfire recovery in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions, and they continue relief activities including donations and supply support for flood recovery during the monsoon season.

They are also conducting social contribution activities for local community neighbors. Lotte Homeshopping delivered health food packages consisting of six types, including Samgyetang, Galbitang, and Misutgaru, to 200 underprivileged households in Yeongdeungpo District. Lotte World is running a unique donation challenge called "Let's Donate While Waiting" on the online platform WalkOn until the 31st of this month.
