[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Lee Jun-hyung] Ahn Deok-geun, the head of the Trade Negotiation Headquarters at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, reported assets worth approximately 7 billion KRW.

According to the "High-ranking Public Officials' Asset Registration Status" published in the government gazette by the Government Ethics Committee on the 26th, Ahn reported assets totaling 6.987 billion KRW. He declared ownership of land (993 million KRW), buildings (2.771 billion KRW), deposits (2.262 billion KRW), and securities (779 million KRW), among others.

The real estate registered under Ahn's name includes a leasehold apartment in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, valued at 1.425 billion KRW. He also reported a multi-family house in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, under his spouse's name, valued at 550 million KRW. Buildings under his father's name include an apartment in Nam-gu, Daegu (311 million KRW) and a detached house in Yeongcheon, Gyeongbuk (10 million KRW). The land, owned by his father, includes rice paddies and fields in Daegu and Yeongcheon valued at 994 million KRW.

Deposits reported under his and his spouse's names are 586 million KRW and 858 million KRW, respectively. Deposits under his father’s and mother’s names are 357 million KRW and 319 million KRW, respectively.

Securities under his and his spouse's names are reported as 179 million KRW and 410 million KRW, respectively. Ahn declared ownership of domestic stocks including CJ and HDC Hyundai Development Company, as well as U.S. stocks such as General Electric (GE) and United Airlines.

Ahn also reported a Yongpyong Resort membership worth 135 million KRW owned by his spouse.
