Hamyang County Council Opens the 271st Extraordinary Session

The 2nd Supplementary Budget Bill Processing

The 271st extraordinary session meeting is in progress.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hamyang County Council in Gyeongnam began the 271st extraordinary session on the 23rd, scheduled to last for nine days until the 31st.

On the first day of the session, the opening ceremony started at 10 a.m. During the 1st plenary session, Councilor Im Chae-suk delivered a 5-minute free speech, and the council resolved the agenda on the session schedule for the 271st extraordinary session and the formation of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee.

During this extraordinary session, the council plans to review and approve the 1st supplementary budget for 2022 submitted by the Hamyang County Governor. Immediately after the plenary session, the Budget and Accounts Special Committee appointed Councilor Bae Woo-jin as chairman and Councilor Jeong Gwang-seok as secretary.

Chairman Park Yong-woon, in his opening remarks, said, “I ask my fellow councilors to carefully examine whether there are any factors of budget waste or any shortcomings in the proper allocation of the budget during the review of the 2nd supplementary budget.”

He added, “I also urge everyone to do their best in promoting and preparing for the Sansam Festival and to show warm concern for neighbors in need around them before the Chuseok holiday.”

Meanwhile, after the 1st plenary session, the Hamyang County Council plans to conduct reviews through the Budget and Accounts Special Committee and standing committees, and make the final resolution at the 2nd plenary session of the 271st extraordinary session on the 31st.
