Encouraging Athletes and Coaches at Training Sites for 15 Sports
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Kim Yoon-cheol, the mayor of Hapcheon County, visited the training centers for each sport on the 20th to encourage the athletes participating in the 61st Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival.
Despite the rainy and gloomy weather on the day of the visit, about 20 people including Mayor Kim Yoon-cheol, Chairman Jo Samsul of the County Council, Kim Hae-eun, President of the Sports Association, county council members, and vice presidents of the Sports Association attended. They visited the training centers of 15 sports starting with badminton, excluding pre-competition, self-training, and night training sessions, to encourage the athletes and coaches who were sweating until the very end.
Mayor Kim said, “I am proud of all of you participating in the Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival, a great festival for athletes in Gyeongnam,” and added, “The sweat you have shed so far will not betray you, so I hope you achieve good results in the best condition.”
Meanwhile, the 61st Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Sports Festival will be held for four days from the 26th to the 29th in Yangsan City, Gyeongnam. Hapcheon County will send a delegation of 550 athletes competing in 22 sports, and on the 26th at 2 p.m., a determination ceremony for victory will be held at Hapcheon Gymnasium before the competition begins.
