Applications Accepted from August 30 to September 23
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The first and core pledge of Park Dong-sik, mayor of Sacheon City, Gyeongnam, is now accepting applications for the ‘Sacheon City Emergency Disaster Relief Fund.’
According to the city, from August 30 to September 23, applications for the emergency disaster relief fund will be accepted from Sacheon citizens, and 300,000 KRW per person will be provided as support.
To this end, the city is focusing administrative efforts to handle the entire process from application to payment in a one-stop manner, including building the support fund system, training staff at the administrative welfare centers in eup, myeon, and dong districts, and producing a Q&A booklet to resolve questions about the support fund.
In particular, to reduce waiting times for applications, starting from the 22nd, application forms and instructions on how to apply are being distributed to all households, carefully addressing any inconveniences related to the support fund application.
The ‘Sacheon City Emergency Disaster Relief Fund,’ provided for the first time since COVID-19, is a prepaid card loaded with 300,000 KRW that can only be used within the city.
The eligible recipients are Sacheon citizens registered as residents in Sacheon City as of July 31, 2022, including permanent residents with residency status and marriage immigrants.
Additionally, as a congratulatory gesture for newborns, babies born by the application deadline of September 23 are also eligible, but foreigners are excluded.
A city official stated, “Since many citizens are expected to visit during the first week of applications, we ask that applicants fill out the application form in advance to reduce waiting times,” and added, “As COVID-19 cases are recently increasing, please be sure to wear a mask when visiting.”
