Lecture on Books Set in Busan and the Sea Including 'Pachinko'... Pukyong National University and Yeonsan Library Join Hands for a One-Day Humanities Special Lecture Poster for Bukyeong Humanities One-Day Special Lecture 안내.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Project Group at Pukyong National University and Busan City Yeonsan Library will hold the "Pukyong Humanities One-Day Special Lecture" twice on the 14th and 21st of next month in the cultural lecture room on the first floor of Yeonsan Library.

The Pukyong University HK+ Project Group and Yeonsan Library have collaborated to develop a program that enhances maritime humanities literacy by linking the sea, a characteristic of the Busan region, with the humanities. This time, they will provide free humanities lectures to local residents with books set against the backdrop of Busan and the sea as the theme.

Professor Min-Kyung Choi and Research Professor Hyun-Hee Joo of Pukyong University HK will serve as instructors, conducting the program by reading and discussing novels and essays such as Min Jin Lee's "Pachinko" and Hee-Cheol Choi's "The Road to the Northern Fishing Grounds."

Applications for participation can be made on the Yeonsan Library website starting from the 23rd, with 25 participants being recruited for each program.

Inquiries can be made to the Reading Culture Department of Yeonsan Library.

Woo Mi-sook, director of Yeonsan Library, said, "We expect that cooperation between the national university and the local library will provide local residents with opportunities for differentiated humanities liberal arts courses."
