Hamyang-gun Holds 'Safety Policy Working Coordination Committee' for Safe Festival and Performance Management A meeting of the Regional Festival Safety Policy Practical Coordination Committee is being held.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the ‘Safety Policy Working Coordination Committee’ to ensure a safe and accident-free festival and performance operation ahead of the 19th Hamyang Yeongam Cultural Festival, scheduled for the 27th to 28th, and the 17th Hamyang Sansam Festival, scheduled from September 2nd to 11th.


According to the county, on the 18th at 4 p.m., the Hamyang-gun Safety Policy Working Coordination Committee was held at the county office disaster situation room, composed of working-level officials from related organizations including Hamyang-gun, Hamyang Office of Education, police station, fire station, military unit, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), and KT.


The Safety Policy Working Coordination Committee is a committee composed of 12 members that reviews safety management plans for local festivals hosted by Hamyang-gun and coordinates consultations with related organizations regarding disaster and safety management.


At the committee meeting, experts from various fields gathered to share opinions for a safe and successful festival and intensively discussed cooperation matters among related organizations to prevent safety accidents.


Before the festival, safety inspections of the festival venue and stage will be conducted, and during the festival period, guidance and promotional activities will be carried out to prevent accidents and casualties.


A county official stated, “We will do our best to manage safety in cooperation with related organizations so that the Hamyang Sansam Festival, our county’s representative festival, and the Hamyang Yeongam Cultural Festival, which is being held for the first time since being promoted to a county festival, can be successfully held as safe festivals.”
