[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The final round of the 20th Yeongyang Chili Pepper Miss Contest will be held on the 19th at 3 PM at the Yeongyang County Community Center in Gyeongbuk.

This Yeongyang Chili Pepper Miss Contest received 80 applications from across the country by July 16, and after preliminary rounds, 23 contestants advanced to the finals.

The 23 finalists participated in a 3-night, 4-day training camp at the Jang Gyehyang Cultural Experience Education Center starting from the 16th, where they received basic training in walking, speech, talent performances, and gained understanding and knowledge about Yeongyang County’s history, culture, and agricultural specialties before competing in the final round.

This year’s final judging criteria focused on overall harmony including speech, refinement, and poise, in line with the purpose of selecting promotional ambassadors. Additionally, suitability as promotional models for Yeongyang chili peppers was considered in selecting the candidates.

The six promotional ambassadors selected in this final contest?Jin, Seon, Mi, Maekkomi, Dalkkomi, and Bitkkalchan?will serve as promotional representatives for Yeongyang County and its local agricultural specialties in the future.
