Laying the Foundation for Global Startup Growth Support and Innovative Technology Talent Development

Gyeongbuk Technopark signed an MOU with Yeungnam University, Uzbekistan Innotechnopark, and Akfa University to foster global startups and cultivate innovative technology talents.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gyeongbuk Technopark, together with Yeungnam University, signed an MOU with Uzbekistan's INNO Technopark and AKFA University to foster global startups and cultivate innovative technology talent.

The MOU signing ceremony held at INNO Technopark in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, was attended by Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, Ha In-seong, Director of Gyeongbuk Technopark, and the Deputy Minister of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Innovative Development, who pledged government-level support and mutual cooperation to promote corporate growth and expand exchanges.

Through this MOU, the partner institutions of both countries agreed to cooperate in ▲ fostering startups and supporting capacity building ▲ dispatching experts for technology workforce training ▲ exchanging information related to investment and technology ▲ supporting corporate exports.

Gyeongbuk TP plans to especially establish a base within INNO Technopark in Tashkent and actively support local companies in the innovative manufacturing sector to enter the Central Asian market.

Ha In-seong, Director of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, “Uzbekistan is conducting various startup fostering programs along with active government support. Since startups in Uzbekistan hope to collaborate with Korean companies, we will do our best to support local companies in pioneering overseas markets and securing blue oceans.”
