[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] bhc Chicken announced on the 19th that it has launched two types of side menu items called ‘Twist 2 Types,’ inspired by twisted doughnuts, and will begin full-scale sales at stores nationwide.

The varieties are ‘Cream Cheese Twist’ and ‘Sweet Red Bean Twist.’

This menu features dough made with glutinous rice flour and tofu, fried to achieve a chewy and crispy texture with a savory flavor. In particular, inspired by the technology behind bhc Chicken’s signature side menu ‘Sweet Crispy Cheese Ball,’ unlike traditional twisted doughnuts, the dough is filled, attracting attention. The ‘Cream Cheese Twist’ is filled with rich cream cheese, while the ‘Sweet Red Bean Twist’ is filled with sweet red bean paste, allowing customers to enjoy according to their preference.

A bhc Chicken representative said, “We developed this product by comprehensively considering the company’s R&D know-how that pioneered a new genre of side menus through cheese balls, market response, and customer needs,” adding, “It will serve as a driving force for sales growth of both the headquarters and franchise owners and establish itself as a product that broadens the horizon of side menus in the industry.”
