Gyeongbuk Fire Department Launches 'Joint Fire Investigation Team' ... Specialized and Comprehensive Fire Investigations by Field

Gyeongbuk Province held an inauguration ceremony for the "Joint Fire Investigation Team," which includes relevant experts.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Gyeongbuk Province held a 'Fire Joint Investigation Team Launch Ceremony' at the provincial office on the 18th to establish a comprehensive and precise fire investigation system for large-scale fires with many casualties or those attracting social attention, including related experts.

The Fire Joint Investigation Team is composed of six engineering PhDs, two gas and electrical experts, two fire forensics experts, two loss adjusters, and six firefighting officers.

Except for the firefighting officers, the 12 external expert members will participate in fire joint investigations at the fire headquarters level during their two-year term.

With the appointment of these expert members, specialized fire investigations in various fields such as architecture, electricity, gas, and compensation have become possible.

Lee Young-pal, head of the provincial fire headquarters, said, “The causes of fires are becoming increasingly complex and diverse day by day, requiring professional and diverse fire investigations. We will strive to enhance fire investigation capabilities jointly with experts from each field to ensure fire investigations trusted by the residents.”
