[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Rain is expected in the central region and northern Gyeongbuk from the afternoon of the 19th. The rain will expand to the entire southern region by the early morning of the 20th.

This is due to a cold front created by a pressure trough passing north of our country. Rain is expected to continue until early morning on the 20th in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon, until the morning in Chungcheong, until the afternoon in Honam and Gyeongbuk, and until night in Gyeongnam. Showers will occur in various inland areas of Honam on the afternoon of the 19th.

Expected precipitation amounts are 20-70mm in eastern Gyeonggi, western Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk, and 5-50mm in Seoul, Incheon, western Gyeonggi, eastern Gangwon, Jeonnam, Gyeongsang, the five western islands, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo. In eastern Gyeonggi and western Gangwon, rain accompanied by gusts, thunder, and lightning may fall at a rate of about 30mm per hour at times.

The lowest temperatures on the morning of the 19th are expected to be 20-24°C, and the highest temperatures during the day are expected to be 26-33°C. The expected lowest and highest temperatures in major cities are Seoul 23°C and 28°C, Incheon 24°C and 27°C, Daejeon 22°C and 30°C, Gwangju and Ulsan 22°C and 32°C, Daegu 23°C and 33°C, and Busan 24°C and 30°C.

Except for eastern Gangwon and the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk, most regions will feel hot with apparent temperatures around 31-33°C. Heatwave advisories have been issued for southern Gyeongbuk, inland Jeonnam, and parts of western Gangwon.

Tropical nights are predicted to reappear in Jeju overnight.

On the 19th, winds on the central west coast will reach gusts of about 55 km/h. In the Gangwon mountain area, strong winds with gusts around 70 km/h are expected from the afternoon of the 19th until the morning of the 20th.
