[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The "19th Korea-Japan Next Generation Academic Forum International Conference" will be held online via Zoom over two days on the 19th and 20th.


The conference is organized by the East-West University Japan Research Center and hosted by the Korea-Japan Next Generation Academic Forum, with next-generation researchers from both Korea and Japan attending.


The forum's theme is "Korea-Japan Joint Research in the Post-COVID Era," and it will be conducted in nine divisions: international relations, politics and law, history, language and literature, society and gender, religion and thought, folklore and anthropology, culture and arts, and economy and business administration.


The event will begin on the 19th at 9:30 AM with presentations by division. At 1:20 PM, the 19th anniversary ceremony will take place, followed by an opening address by Jang Je-guk, the representative of the Korea-Japan Next Generation Academic Forum.


From 1:30 PM, a keynote lecture titled "Korea-Japan Joint Research in the Post-COVID Era" will be delivered by Professor Emeritus Jeong Jae-jeong of the University of Seoul, followed by division presentations and discussions starting at 3:00 PM.


On the 20th, presentations by five divisions will begin at 9:30 AM, concluding with a meeting of supervising professors at 4:20 PM.


From the Korean side, 50 master's and doctoral students from 18 universities including Dongseo University, Korea University, Seoul National University, Chung-Ang University, and Pusan National University will participate as presenters and designated discussants.


From the Japanese side, 60 master's and doctoral students from 34 universities including the University of Tokyo, Waseda University, and Keio University will attend as presenters and designated discussants.


Additionally, 14 graduate students from Korea, China, and the United States who are studying in Japan will also participate.


Jang Je-guk, representative of the Korea-Japan Next Generation Academic Forum, stated, "Celebrating its 19th year this year, it has established itself as a prestigious platform for research presentations for next-generation researchers from both countries."
