A Man in His 60s Wanted for Location, Arrested for Assaulting Police While Driving Without a License and Under the Influence

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] A man in his 60s, who was on the A-level wanted list, was caught by the police while driving under the influence without a license.

On the 18th, the Muan Police Station in Jeonnam announced that they had arrested and were investigating Mr. A, a man in his 60s, on charges of driving without a license and under the influence (violations of the Road Traffic Act) and obstruction of official duties.

Mr. A caused an accident around 7:30 PM the previous day while backing his car out in the parking lot of a food material mart in Muan-eup, Muan-gun, Jeonnam, colliding with another vehicle.

When the police responded to the report from the damaged vehicle and requested Mr. A to present his driver's license, he reportedly struck the police officers on the head and shin.

At the time of arrest, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.162%, a level warranting license cancellation, and it was confirmed that he was an A-level wanted person with an arrest or detention warrant issued.

The police plan to investigate any additional crimes committed by Mr. A and the exact circumstances of the incident.
