[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] A 29-minute video capturing the situation at the time of the incident was found on the mobile phone of male student A (20), who is accused of attempting to sexually assault a classmate on the Inha University campus and causing the victim to fall to their death from a building. Professor Lee Soo-jung of the Department of Criminal Psychology at Kyonggi University analyzed this, stating, "It contained content that allows us to infer the interactions that occurred between the victim and the perpetrator."

Professor Lee appeared on KBS's 'Brave Live' on the 16th and commented on the recent application of a murder charge against A by the prosecution, saying, "The prosecution recognized A's very active intent through digital forensic analysis of his mobile phone."

Regarding A's voice recorded after the victim's fall, she said, "Although it was not outright profanity, there were onomatopoeic expressions suggesting frustration," and added, "It contained everything that allows us to infer the suspect's mental state and thoughts at the time of the crime, that is, when the victim fell."

She also emphasized the importance of A's retraction of his statement. Initially, during police investigation, A stated that he 'pushed the victim,' but later changed his statement during the prosecution's investigation to 'I don't remember.' Professor Lee noted, "Attention should be paid to the fact that the statement was changed defensively through repetition," and added, "It is also important evidence that he retracted a statement that was already fatal to himself during the initial investigation phase." She argued, "Usually, people do not retract statements that are disadvantageous to themselves."
