From the 18th to the 16th of next month, all residents can apply for 30 days
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Gyeongbuk Province is conducting a regulatory improvement idea contest this year to effectively identify inconvenient regulations and obstacles to economic activities experienced by businesses and residents in their daily lives.
The contest, which runs for 30 days from the 18th of this month to the 16th of next month, is open to all residents.
Participants can download the application form from the provincial and city/county websites and submit it via email, registered mail, or through the regulatory departments of the city/county.
The contest covers five categories: welfare (including childbirth, childcare, low-income groups, and persons with disabilities); daily life (including transportation, housing, and medical care); employment and jobs for youth, career interrupters, and the elderly; support for self-employed and small business owners (including startup, location, and employment); and new industries (including new technologies, new services, and renewable energy).
Submitted ideas will be reviewed by a working committee and relevant departments, and the final outstanding projects will be selected through the Regulatory Reform Committee's evaluation.
Selected outstanding proposals will receive the governor's commendation and prize money in December.
The final selected projects will be continuously coordinated with the relevant central government ministries to ensure prompt improvement.
Kang Seong-jo, Deputy Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "Through this regulatory improvement idea contest, we will actively identify and improve unreasonable regulations that cause inconvenience in daily life and economic activities. We look forward to the residents' keen interest and active participation in this contest."
Detailed information and schedules related to the contest can be found on the Gyeongbuk Province website.
