Yeosu City Signs Business Agreement with Chonnam National University to Revitalize Urban Regeneration


[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] Yeosu City (Urban Regeneration Division) and Chonnam National University (Department of Cultural Tourism Management) signed a business agreement on the 17th at the Yeosu City Gukdong Temporary Annex to promote "Enjoyment of Culture and Arts within Urban Regeneration Areas."


At the signing ceremony, Jeong Su-hwan, head of Yeosu City Urban Regeneration Division, and Kim Dae-hyun, head of the Department of Cultural Tourism Management at Chonnam National University, attended and pledged mutual cooperation.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ sharing and cooperating on the value of Yeosu City's urban regeneration policy projects ▲ discovering specialized support projects and programs to revitalize the cultural and artistic fields within the region ▲ matters to continuously promote mutual cooperation.


The Department of Cultural Tourism Management at Chonnam National University is a department that cultivates talents who will lead regional cultural development through the convergence of culture and tourism.


Through this business agreement, it was decided to actively support the development and revitalization of content utilizing cultural, artistic, and tourism resources within Yeosu City's urban regeneration project areas.


Jeong Su-hwan, head of Yeosu City Urban Regeneration Division, stated, "I hope that this agreement will enable both institutions to cooperate and contribute to the revitalization of Yeosu City's urban regeneration areas," adding, "In particular, I expect it to be an opportunity to increase young people's interest in urban regeneration projects and encourage their active participation."
