[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Aurora is showing strong performance following the news that Seoul City is launching a massive comprehensive childcare support plan with an investment of 15 trillion won. Aurora holds licenses for character toys and Pinkfong.

Seoul City announced that it will promote the 'Mom and Dad Happiness Project' to reduce childcare burdens for parents with children under 10 years old and to make Seoul a better place to raise children. This project is expected to receive an investment of 14.7 trillion won over five years.

Meanwhile, Aurora sells character toys that it designs, develops, and manufactures. Aurora World is known to have signed a character license agreement for the TV animation 'Pinkfong Wonderstar' with SmartStudy. The company also ranked first in Pinkfong license sales in the domestic market in 2018 with 20 types of Pinkfong Baby Shark-related toys, achieving cumulative toy sales of 5 billion won.
