Every Tuesday Until the 27th of Next Month... Training for 33 Prospective Processors
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 17th that it held the opening ceremony for the 12th basic course on agricultural product processing startup education for 33 local farmers and citizens who wish to start agricultural product processing businesses.
Originally, 25 people were planned to be recruited, but 33 people (27 farmers and 6 non-farmers) applied, showing strong enthusiasm for the education.
The education will be held every Tuesday for 4 hours at the Agricultural Product Comprehensive Processing Support Center until the 27th of next month.
Students can learn ▲ food processing technology ▲ food trends ▲ distribution and agricultural food cost management ▲ wet manufacturing practice and drying practice ▲ e-commerce practical skills.
Also, upon completing the basic course, students can participate in the next course, the processing startup division course, and can join the Suncheon Agricultural Product Processing Center Agricultural Cooperative Corporation to produce and sell products directly.
An official from the Suncheon Agricultural Technology Center said, “In addition to startup processing education, various trainings such as developing processed products using local agricultural products are being conducted, so the activation of processing startups is expected.”
Meanwhile, since the completion of the processing center in 2017, Suncheon City has produced 699 processing trainees through 28 courses so far.
