[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Daegu University recently dispatched 36 students to the United States through an overseas training program.

The International Office of Daegu University operated the '2021-2022 Academic Year Pre-Education Program for Overseas Dispatch' for one year as part of the University Innovation Support Project and finally selected 36 students who completed the program diligently.

The students dispatched this time will receive training for six months to one year at Murray State University and Niagara University in the United States, which are sister universities of Daegu University.

The participating students will have the opportunity to improve their English skills through the language training programs at the American universities and attend undergraduate classes to study alongside local students.

Most of the training expenses, including tuition and dormitory fees at the host universities, are supported by the university, expanding opportunities for students who previously found it difficult to participate in international programs due to financial difficulties to gain overseas experience.

Gong Deok-in, a senior in the Department of Public Administration dispatched to Murray State University (USA), said, "Over the past year, I have completed preparations for studying in the United States through language study and various information provided by the pre-education program," adding, "I will gain diverse experiences through this training and broaden my perspective on the world."
