[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Choi] Naver's startup incubation organization D2SF (D2 Startup Factory) announced on the 17th that it has made new investments in two healthcare startups.

The startups receiving investment are ▲‘Gajilab,’ developing a personalized wellness platform ▲‘Predictive,’ which developed a digital twin solution based on genomic analysis.

Gajilab is developing a personalized wellness platform. Through surveys, it identifies individual issues and provides optimal solutions and communities across wellness areas such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, and rest.

Currently, it is designing a survey system that can precisely assess an individual's health status and needs. After testing in the second half of this year, the official product is scheduled to be launched in 2023.

Predictive is a North American startup that developed a solution creating digital twins containing genomic analysis information to simulate the likelihood of diseases and drug sensitivities. Currently, it analyzes about 20,000 genes using a fingernail sampling method to predict approximately 22,500 diseases and 780 drug sensitivities.

It recently completed a successful beta test targeting U.S. medical professionals and is discussing business cooperation with companies and government agencies in the U.S., the U.K., Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.

Yang Sanghwan, leader of Naver D2SF, said, “The healthcare market is evolving into personalized medicine considering each patient's characteristics, daily health management, and preventive medicine through prediction,” adding, “The two newly invested teams are expected to realize personalized health management and, further, preventive medicine based on their expertise in wellness and genomics.”
