[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Two middle school students who assaulted a clerk and stole cash at a convenience store in Incheon were arrested by the police.
On the 17th, the Michuhol Police Station in Incheon announced that they have arrested and are investigating two middle school students, including A (14), on charges of robbery with violence.
A and the other suspect are accused of strangling the neck of B, a woman in her 20s who was the clerk at a convenience store in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, at around 5:55 p.m. the previous day, and stealing 230,000 won in cash from the counter.
It was investigated that they lured B outside the convenience store counter by asking about the location of products and then committed the crime.
Among them, A was caught inside the convenience store by a citizen who witnessed the crime, and the other suspect fled immediately after the crime but was arrested by the police who pursued him within 10 minutes.
A and the others reportedly stated to the police that "they committed the crime because they had no allowance."
A police official said, "We plan to conduct additional investigations on A and the others and review whether to apply for an arrest warrant."
