[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Doo-yeol] Gijang-gun will hold the "2022 Gijang Imrang Summer Music Festival" for two days from the 27th to the 28th at Imrang Beach in Jangan-eup.
Imrang Beach was a place visited mainly by family tourists, but recently it has emerged as a popular spot for surfing and camping, transforming into a beach attracting many young tourists as well.
Gijang-gun plans to cool down the late summer heat at Imrang Beach this year with the "2022 Gijang Imrang Summer Music Festival."
On the first day of the event, the 27th, the "6th National Children's Song Contest" will mark the restart of the festival after a two-year hiatus.
Starting at 5 p.m. on the 27th, 10 elementary school choir teams from across the country will compete passionately, creating a festival where the whole family can come together.
The children's song contest will also feature congratulatory performances by Busan's representative girls' hip-hop team Halloqueens, the show choir group Harmonize, and an environmental protection storytelling magic show.
On the second day, the 28th, from 7 p.m., the "Beach College Song Festival" trot edition will take place.
The song festival is a representative festival of Imrang Beach that continues the legacy of the college song festival, which started in 1977 and was abolished in 2014.
The college song festival will be held as a trot song performance, a side event of the creative song festival, where the public can sing along, providing a place for intergenerational harmony for tourists exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will be hosted by singer Lee Do-jin and announcer Jung Kyung-jin, and congratulatory performances by Lucy, Eun Ga-eun, Yang Ji-won, Lee Do-jin, and Geum Jan-di are also prepared to celebrate the college song festival.
