Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok Orders Price Stabilization Measures for Chuseok Ritual and Gift Items

Governor Kim stated at the policy meeting with department heads on the 16th, “Recently, prices have generally risen, making it difficult for the common people.”

The province plans to hold a memorial meeting in the afternoon at the Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall and Hotel Hyundai in Yeongam to inherit and develop the noble spirit of democracy, peace, and human rights of President Kim Dae-jung, and a memorial ceremony will be held at 9:50 a.m. on the 18th at the Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall.

On the 25th at 11 a.m., an academic event titled “Kim Dae-jung and the Peace Ideology of World Leaders” will be held.

Regarding the attraction of a super-powerful laser research facility, he emphasized, “To foster it as a top-level cluster, it is necessary to widely recruit related experts and reflect diverse opinions,” and added, “Especially, we must work with these expert groups in attraction activities to clearly show that Jeonnam is leading.”

Regarding the “Revitalization of the Modern Historical and Cultural Space of Geomundo, Yeosu,” the only project selected nationwide, he said, “Unlike existing projects to improve living conditions in fishing villages, this project preserves and utilizes cultural heritage and spaces with high historical value from the modern and contemporary periods to revitalize the region,” and urged, “Let’s discover and promote landmark projects that embody this meaning well.”
