Lee Jun-seok "If the injunction is granted, someone might form a new party" Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, is wiping away tears while speaking directly about the provisional injunction application related to the party's transition to an emergency response committee system during a press conference held at the National Assembly Communication Office in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the 13th. [Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok claimed on the 15th, "If the injunction to suspend the emergency committee's effectiveness (filed on the 10th) is granted, who would want to found a new party?"

After appearing on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' that day, Lee appeared on the live YouTube broadcast and said, "I will not found a new party."

He continued, "At the press conference, my last question to Yoon Hae-kwan (key aides of President Yoon Seok-yeol) and their supporters was that. What exactly do you believe in to do this?" He added, "Even after doing this, they probably think something will happen before the general election, and they might try to attempt political realignment or something like that."

This is interpreted to include the view that if the court's decision nullifies the pro-Yoon faction's attempt to 'expel' him within the party, the Yoon Hae-kwan side might bring up founding a new party or similar moves.

Lee said, "If I were a candidate running in the upcoming party leadership election, I would lead the campaign with the phrase, 'I will help Yoon Hae-kwan and their supporters retire successfully through this election.'" He added, "In a situation where feelings toward Yoon Hae-kwan and their supporters are this bad, the election will be divided between those who can say that and those who cannot. So the public will pay attention to those who can say it."

When asked, "The president's term still has some time left, aren't you afraid to confront to this extent?" he replied, "I am someone who has a lot to do," and said, "I do not feel the impatience or such that many people think."

When asked, "Since when do you think you started to fall out with President Yoon?" he said, "When I saw the 'passing admission,' I wondered if it was a normal situation. It was strange for the party leader to enter while on a business trip, but choosing the day when even the floor leader was on a business trip to enter?what kind of situation is that?"
