[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Interpark announced on the 14th that it will hold the country's first 'Belgium Flanders Beer Festival.'
Interpark, together with Brussels Airport and the Belgium Flanders Tourism Board, will present the 'Belgium Flanders Beer Festival' simultaneously in Europe and Korea. The festival will be held for a week starting from the 22nd on the rooftop of Baekyi in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
The Belgium Beer Festival is one of Europe's representative festivals, attracting more than 60,000 tourists annually. Flanders is the northern region of Belgium, home to historic cities such as Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, Mechelen, and Leuven, and is known for producing Belgium's representative beers with centuries-old traditions.
Interpark is selling admission tickets at a 72% discount. Upon purchasing an admission ticket, visitors will receive a sampler of five representative beers of the day. Through the stories of Flanders beer told by a beer sommelier at 4 PM and 8 PM daily, visitors can experience a new world of beer. On-site registration also allows participation in a beer blind test.
An Interpark official said, "In response to continuous requests from domestic beer enthusiasts, we planned the country's first festival held simultaneously with Belgium, collaborating with famous domestic and international breweries and professional beer sommeliers," adding, "We will continue to provide special customer experiences by utilizing Interpark's global network."
