Eduwill Donates 10 Million KRW from Employee Sharing Fund for Heavy Rain Damage Recovery

Eduwill Donates 10 Million KRW from Employee Sharing Fund for Heavy Rain Damage Recovery

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Comprehensive education company Eduwill announced on the 14th that it will donate 10 million KRW in flood recovery funds to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to support the victims affected by the sudden heavy rain and the rapid restoration work in the affected areas.

The Eduwill 'Employee Sharing Fund' used for this donation is a fund accumulated monthly through a one-to-one matching grant system between employees and the company. As the flood damage worsened due to record-breaking heavy rain not seen in 100 years, Eduwill and its employees decided to donate 10 million KRW from the Sharing Fund.

The flood recovery funds delivered by Eduwill to the Korea Disaster Relief Association will be used to help neighbors affected by flood damage such as house flooding, mainly in central regions including Seoul, Hwaseong-si and Gwangju-si in Gyeonggi-do, and Chuncheon-si in Gangwon-do.

Kwon Daeho, CEO of Eduwill, said, "We decided to donate with the hope that neighbors in the flood-affected areas who lost their homes, families, and daily lives due to the unprecedented heavy rain will recover as soon as possible," adding, "We hope for a swift recovery and that no further heavy rain damage occurs."

Meanwhile, Eduwill previously donated 20 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation in July to support emergency relief efforts in Ukraine using the Employee Sharing Fund.
