LG Electronics Donates 'Dios Dishwasher' to Descendants of Independence Activists

Over 20 Units to Be Given Away... 100,000 Won Discount Event

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] LG Electronics announced on the 14th that it will donate 'LG DIOS Dishwashers' to the descendants of independence activists in celebration of the 77th Liberation Day.

LG Electronics recently held a donation ceremony for dishwashers with the related nonprofit organization Korea Habitat. From the 12th to the 22nd, a portion of the sales proceeds from DIOS dishwashers will be set aside to deliver about 20 units to Korea Habitat. The products will be provided to descendants of independence activists who are relatively struggling in daily life.

An event for dishwashers will also be held during this period. All customers who purchase the target models will receive a discount benefit of 100,000 KRW.

Yoon Sung-il, Executive Director of Kitchen Appliance Marketing at LG Electronics, said, "We are donating the LG DIOS dishwasher, which offers differentiated customer experiences with advanced technology, to places in need."

According to LG Electronics, the DIOS dishwasher made in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, incorporates differentiated technology. First, it is the only product in Korea equipped with the 'True Steam' function, which uses boiled water, making it effective for hygiene management during summer when concerns about food poisoning and enteritis are high. It is also the only dishwasher among domestic manufacturers equipped with a water softening device that reduces limescale and decreases water spots.

True Drying is a product that enhances drying performance through technologies such as water-cooled condensation drying, automatic door-opening drying, and hot air drying using external air. After the automatic door opens, the hot air drying function dries moisture with hot air. The warm air containing moisture is immediately expelled outside. This means it can dry comfortably. The interior design was also carefully considered. Following the recent built-in models, the freestanding models have also applied expert-selected Objet Collection colors, expanding customers' choices.
