[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] In the results up to the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regional primaries held on the 13th for the election of the next party leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, candidate Lee Jae-myung showed an overwhelming lead with a cumulative vote share exceeding 70%.
Candidate Lee recorded a cumulative vote share of 74.59% up to the regional primaries held in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam on that day, securing first place.
Candidate Park Yong-jin's cumulative vote share was 20.7%, and candidate Kang Hoon-sik's was 4.71%, ranking second and third respectively.
In the Supreme Council member election, candidate Jeong Cheong-rae led with 28.4% of the votes. He was followed by candidates Ko Min-jung, Park Chan-dae, Jang Kyung-tae, and Seo Young-kyo in that order.
