[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Community Security Council of Jung-gu-dong, Andong City, delivered nutrition supplement packages and first aid kits to 35 elderly households living alone who need assistance to improve their immunity and health in old age.
This sharing project was conducted as a planned project by the Community Security Council, conducting a full survey of elderly people living alone who have difficulty purchasing nutritional supplements due to economic burdens, and those who have no children or whose children cannot visit frequently.
A council official said, "We connect hearts separated by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic with warmth and convey feelings of gratitude and respect," adding, "We are especially relieved to be able to send even a little care so that they are not exposed to solitary death or nutritional deficiency."
Additionally, a Jung-gu-dong official said, "Elderly people living alone have weakened physical functions and are at high risk of exposure to various diseases," and added, "We hope they take the nutritional supplements and continue to live healthy lives."
