[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that starting from the 13th, in consultation with the three major home appliance companies, the joint free repair service for home appliances currently operating in Gwanak-gu, Seoul from the 11th will be expanded to provide free repairs to all flood victims.

The Ministry explained that the demand for free repair services is continuously increasing in areas outside Gwanak-gu, Seoul, and that operating services separately by region would require additional management personnel, which led to the decision to expand the free repair service for home appliances. This is intended to alleviate the inconvenience for flood victims who lack the capacity to visit the joint repair teams in person.

Regardless of the region affected by heavy rain damage, if a victim calls the service call centers of the three major home appliance companies, the service teams will visit the site sequentially in the order of reception and provide free repair services.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the three major home appliance companies stated, "We will do our best to provide free repair services so that the victims can quickly return to their daily lives, and if there are any inconveniences during the service use process, we plan to make improvements."
