Jungnang-gu Experts' 'Visiting Architecture Consultation Service' Pilot Operation

Jungnang-gu Architectural Society Signs Agreement with Specialized Construction Companies, Pilots On-Site Architectural Consultation Service Since Last Month... Consulting on Violation Resolution and On-Site Inspections of Aged Buildings

Jungnang-gu Experts' 'Visiting Architecture Consultation Service' Pilot Operation The "Visiting Architecture Consultation Service" is being piloted, and temporary repairs are being carried out on walls at risk of collapse.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is conducting a pilot operation of an expert visiting architectural consultation service until the end of this month to assist residents who have had difficulty receiving architectural consultations due to time and economic reasons.

The "Visiting Architectural Consultation Service" is a service planned by the district this year to help residents who, due to economic burdens, have had to leave exterior finishing materials, roofs, fences, etc., in dangerous conditions or have struggled to resolve violations of illegal buildings. To enhance expertise, last month Jungnang-gu signed a business agreement with the Jungnang-gu Architectural Society and specialized construction companies.

The district aims to legally resolve illegal buildings through this service while preventing accidents by preemptively repairing hazardous facilities and aging buildings, thereby building a safe community. After the pilot operation ends this month, the project will be supplemented and expanded.

For illegal buildings, the district supports drawing up plans at minimal appropriate costs when there is a resolution plan through on-site inspections and interviews with building owners, and provides consultation for aging buildings requiring safety measures.

Additionally, specialized construction companies are providing temporary safety measures for abandoned hazardous facilities.

Since the business agreement last month, the district has supported ▲132 cases of review and consultation on illegal buildings ▲6 cases of measures for abandoned hazardous facilities ▲17 cases of residential environment improvement services.

Until the end of this month, services will be provided upon requests from the Jungnang-gu Architectural Safety Center and local community service centers.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "I hope the Visiting Architectural Consultation Service will reduce the burden on residents who have had difficulties receiving consultations for various reasons and contribute to realizing a safe community by preemptively repairing dangerous buildings. We will strive to supplement the project through the pilot operation and expand it further in the future."
