Changwon has a 324 km coastline along Masan Bay and Jinhae Bay, where port construction, fishing village renewal, coastal waterfront spaces, marine leisure and beach development, and marine park operations and development are being carried out in each region.

Mayor Hong said, “Since selecting suitable locations is the top priority for marine tourism development, we will listen to various opinions and comprehensively develop marine projects where the economy and tourism grow together. Having confirmed sufficient potential as a central marine hub city in Northeast Asia, we will establish a comprehensive plan and proceed in earnest.”
