[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] President Yoon Seok-yeol will hold his first official press conference on the 17th to mark his 100th day in office. President Yoon is expected to share his reflections on his time in office so far, as well as his plans for future government administration.

On the 12th, Choi Young-beom, Senior Secretary for Public Relations, announced, "President Yoon will hold a 100-day press conference on the morning of the 17th in the briefing room on the first floor of the Yongsan Presidential Office building." The event will last about 40 minutes starting at 10 a.m., with President Yoon delivering opening remarks followed by a Q&A session with the press.

Initially, the Presidential Office considered not holding a 100-day press conference. So far, a total of 35 door-stepping (informal press briefings) have been conducted, and considering President Yoon’s preference to avoid events on specific dates, this was taken into account. A Presidential Office official stated, "After considering various factors and reviewing the best approach practically, a conclusion was reached."
