Shinhan Life Launches Internal Change Promotion Team 'Pathfinder'

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Shinhan Life announced on the 12th that it held the first kick-off workshop for the in-house change promotion organization 'Pathfinder' at Blue Square in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

'Pathfinder' is the name of an in-house opinion leader group created to lead change and communicate with an open mind under the larger framework of Shinhan Financial Group's 'Reboot Shinhan Project.'

'Pathfinder' is also a graphic motif of the Shinhan Life brand, which carries the meaning of ascent. The change promotion organizations, previously operated separately by rank as Wonsinhan Challengers (Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager) and Young Leaders (Section Chief, Deputy General Manager), have been integrated to form an opinion leader group where diverse members can grow together.

A total of 19 members were selected through self-application and peer recommendation, with a term of two years starting from July 2022. During the activity period, they discuss agendas for management innovation through regular meetings with executives and take the lead in 'Work Delete&Diet' activities to reduce unnecessary tasks and procedures.

They also carry out mutual mentoring activities among members and participate in various organizational culture programs within the group and company. They are provided with benefits such as benchmarking trips, special lectures by invited experts, and awards for outstanding activities.

Sung Daekyu, CEO of Shinhan Life, attended the workshop and said, "'Pathfinder' are the people who find the path for Shinhan Life to become world-class," adding, "I hope they can serve as a central axis of communication between the company and employees, exchanging many opinions on organizational culture and management issues." He also added, "As the company grows, we will create an environment where all employees can grow together."
