[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] POSCO Group announced on the 12th that it will donate 2 billion KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to support the recovery of areas affected by the heavy rain in the central region and aid the disaster victims.
POSCO Group aims to help residents in the affected areas, who are struggling due to the record-breaking heavy rain, to quickly return to their daily lives. Furthermore, the group plans to continue leading recovery support efforts for disaster-vulnerable groups and affected residents.
Under its corporate citizenship management philosophy, POSCO Group has donated 2 billion KRW for recovery from the forest fires in Gyeongbuk and Gangwon in March, as well as contributed funds for recovery support during nationwide heavy rains in 2020, the Gangwon forest fires in 2019, and the Pohang earthquake in 2017.
