Im Yong-hwan, Chief of Gwangju Police Agency, Visits Police Mobile Unit for Encouragement

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Im Yong-hwan, Chief of Gwangju Police Agency, visited the police riot squad under the Gwangju Police Agency on the 11th and 12th, who are struggling for the safety of citizens despite the heatwave, to inspect the working conditions during the hot season, encourage the officers, and communicate with them.

Chief Im listened to and empathized with the difficulties faced by the riot squad officers working day and night in the ongoing heatwave since early July, and awarded commendations to meritorious police officers.

Chief Im urged, "During this intense heatwave, it must be tough to perform duties at assembly sites as well as traffic and crime prevention tasks for public safety, but I ask you to faithfully fulfill the original role of the police with a sense of mission and pride for 'trusted Gwangju public security.'"
