[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Dow Korea announced on the 12th that it will participate as the official material science partner of the Jaguar TCS Racing Team at the '2022 Hana Bank Seoul E-PRIX (E-Prix)'.
The E-Prix, held around Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul on the 13th and 14th, is the final race of the 2021-2022 season of the world's most prestigious electric car racing competition, the 'ABB FIA Formula E World Championship'.
Since 2020, Dow has formed a partnership with the Jaguar TCS Racing Team and became the official material science partner last year. Through its 'Mobility Science' platform, Dow has provided the racing team with technologies in silicon, polyolefin, and polyurethane, supporting Jaguar's 'I-TYPE 5' electric car racers to run faster and longer with better performance.
Additionally, Dow is continuously experimenting with materials and technologies applicable to commercial electric vehicles in collaboration with the racing team, and plans to apply these to the transportation and automotive sectors to lead the realization of a carbon-neutral society for future humanity.
