DB HiTek "Considering Spinning Off Fabless Business... Method and Timing Not Decided"

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Ye-ju] DB HiTek stated on the 11th in response to an inquiry disclosure request regarding reports of the spin-off of the brand division responsible for semiconductor design (fabless), "We are considering various strategic options, but no specific methods or timing have been decided."

They added, "The company is conducting careful reviews to strengthen expertise in each business division and to resolve conflicts of interest with customers due to the characteristics of the system semiconductor industry," and "We will re-disclose within three months or when specific details are finalized."

On the 11th of last month, a media outlet reported that DB HiTek, which has focused on foundry services, plans to spin off the brand division responsible for semiconductor design within this year to launch it as an independent corporation. The next day, DB HiTek announced, "Nothing has been decided," and re-disclosed the same statement on this day, one month later.

Currently, DB HiTek operates the foundry business responsible for wafer contract manufacturing and sales, as well as the brand business that designs and sells display driver ICs (DDI) and its own products.
