[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold the second lecture in the '2022 Wise Healthy Living' series on the 13th at 2 p.m. in the Imagination Hall, jointly with the Pain Research Group of the Four Major Science and Technology Institutes.
This lecture will invite Professor Jang Min-cheol from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Yeungnam University College of Medicine to discuss the theme, "Pain, who on earth are you?" which everyone experiences in life. The session will focus on various pains encountered in daily life, exploring their causes and management methods.
Professor Jang earned his bachelor's degree from Yeungnam University College of Medicine, completed his residency and served as a clinical instructor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Seoul Asan Medical Center. He is currently a professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Yeungnam University Hospital, researching musculoskeletal diseases and central nervous system disorders.
The medical lecture series Wise Healthy Living allows attendance by advance reservation on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 150 people. It is free for everyone from children to adults, and participants will receive a special commemorative gift.
Deputy Director Jeon Tae-ho said, "Since last year, we have been conducting new medical lectures in collaboration with the Pain Research Group of the Four Major Science and Technology Institutes," adding, "As the latest technologies on the causes and treatments of common pains in daily life will be introduced, we hope many people will participate."
