Mini Dryer Sales Increase 240% This Year

Models are introducing the Winix Compact Dryer pre-order event at the Lotte Hi-Mart Megastore Jamsil branch.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 11th that it will conduct a pre-sale of the Winix Compact Dryer at over 410 Lotte Hi-Mart stores and its online shopping mall until the 22nd of this month.

During this event, customers who purchase the product will receive a 40,000 KRW discount. From the 15th to the 21st, a sharing event will also take place. Participants need to post the pre-sale event details shared on Lotte Hi-Mart’s official Instagram to their personal Instagram and leave a comment indicating completion of participation. Various prizes will be awarded through a draw, including one Winix Compact Dryer and two Winix Correct Humidifiers. Additionally, customers who visit 11 major stores such as the Megastore Jamsil branch and World Tower branch, take a certification photo of the product, and upload it to Lotte Hi-Mart’s official Instagram will be entered into a draw to receive Starbucks coffee coupons (300 winners).

The Winix Compact Dryer combines practicality and design. It has a drying capacity of 4kg, allowing it to dry 15 towels at once, enhancing its practicality. It is equipped with a sensor that automatically detects the condition of the fabric to minimize fabric damage. The sterilizing drying function that eliminates harmful bacteria also takes users’ health into consideration. With a low noise level of approximately 44dB, it can be used comfortably even in a room.

According to Lotte Hi-Mart, sales of mini dryers increased by about 300% compared to the previous year. From January 1 to August 10 of this year, sales also grew by about 240% compared to the same period last year.

A Lotte Hi-Mart official said, “Mini dryers with a capacity under 5kg that consumers can install themselves can be used without space constraints and have excellent design, making them popular among young consumers such as single-person households,” adding, “As various manufacturers newly release mini dryers with enhanced drying performance, the mini dryer market is expected to expand further.”
