Additional Support Planned for Mobile Shower Rooms and Toilets
Lotte Distribution Group delivered emergency relief supplies to heavy rain-affected areas such as Seocho-gu and Gwanak-gu in Seoul.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Distribution Group announced on the 11th that it has provided more than 9,000 emergency relief items such as bottled water and cup noodles, about 400 relief kits containing daily necessities, and around 120 temporary shelter partitions to heavy rain-affected areas including Seocho-gu and Gwanak-gu in Seoul.
Lotte Distribution Group plans to further support disaster victims by supplying additional mobile shower rooms and restrooms, and deploying laundry relief vehicles to the flood recovery sites to assist residents in the affected areas.
In 2018, Lotte Distribution Group signed a public-private cooperation agreement for disaster emergency relief with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, and has been conducting various support activities for five years to help people facing difficulties due to sudden natural disasters.
A Lotte Mart official said, "We are carefully assessing the heavy rain damage sites and focusing support on the most severely affected areas. We also plan to provide additional assistance to regions and disaster victims in need going forward," adding, "We hope for a swift recovery without further damage."
