[Asia Economy Reporter Han Yeju] Samsung Display announced on the 10th that it will participate in the 'K-Display 2022 Korea Display Industry Exhibition' held at COEX in Seoul.

Samsung Display will showcase a large number of next-generation self-emissive display products, the core technology of the future hyper-connected society, under the theme 'Meet amazing techverse in Samsung Display' at a 95-pyeong exhibition hall.

In particular, it will exhibit QD-OLED technology, which combines quantum dots, the first next-generation light-emitting material in Korea, with OLED (organic light-emitting diode). The most eye-catching 'WOW Zone' in the QD-OLED exhibition hall is a large multi-vision wall measuring 5m wide and 3.5m high. The screen, made up of three 65-inch QD-OLED panels, four 55-inch panels, and four 34-inch panels, demonstrates the color reproduction and black expression capabilities of QD.

A Samsung Display official said, "QD has a characteristic that makes it appear brighter at the same brightness compared to other panel technologies," adding, "This is called perceived luminance (XCR), and through this exhibition, consumers will have a great opportunity to experience the excellent RGB color luminance and wide color gamut of QD-OLED resulting from the light-emitting characteristics of quantum dots."

Along with this, the Eco²OLED PlusTM and UPC PlusTM technologies, applied for the first time in the 'Galaxy Z Fold4,' will be introduced for the first time.

In the 'Lifestyle Zone,' products such as laptops equipped with OLED, AI speakers, portable monitors, and TVs and monitors equipped with QD-OLED will be displayed. This exhibition space allows visitors to see at a glance how self-emissive display technology is being utilized in everyday spaces such as living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms.

In the 'Flex OLED Zone,' S-shaped foldables that fold twice outward and inward, G-shaped foldables that fold twice inward, laptop-type foldables, and slidable devices will be showcased.
