[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] LG Chem is developing customized eco-friendly materials for carbon neutrality and resource circulation in collaboration with Yuhan-Kimberly.
On the 10th, LG Chem announced that on the 9th, it signed a material innovation business agreement (MOU) and the 'Green Action Alliance' at Yuhan-Kimberly headquarters for sustainable product development.
The two companies plan to actively cooperate in developing innovative products applying eco-friendly materials and expanding the market, sharing and reflecting user experiences on products using new materials to expand customized materials and products, and ensuring stable supply of eco-friendly materials.
In particular, they plan to accelerate the development of eco-friendly materials and new products by quickly reflecting customer feedback on hygiene products with high eco-friendly demand. Their strategy is to expand eco-friendly products such as naturally derived absorbents, biodegradable materials, and recycled packaging by incorporating customer voices from the raw material development stage.
LG Chem supplies Yuhan-Kimberly with the world's first eco-friendly internationally certified superabsorbent polymer, and Yuhan-Kimberly has continued collaboration by launching diaper products using it.
