[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Kim Jin-tae, Governor of Gangwon Province, will continue his initial tour of cities and counties to share the 'G0! One-Team' vision, which opens the era of 'A New Gangwon Province! Special Autonomous Era!' during the 8th term of the elected government, until September.
According to Gangwon Province on the 9th, starting with Chuncheon City and Goseong County on the 10th, in August, he will visit Jeongseon County, Cheorwon County, Hwacheon County, Yanggu County, Hongcheon County, Yeongwol County, Inje County, Sokcho City, and Yangyang County.
In September, the visits will continue in the order of Gangneung City, Pyeongchang County, Hoengseong County, Wonju City, Taebaek City, Donghae City, and Samcheok City.
The initial tour aims to lay the foundation for the new Gangwon provincial administration and to prepare for the launch of Gangwon Special Autonomous Province together with the cities and counties, dedicating much time to listening to local issues and opinions (Bottom-up approach).
In particular, it includes a pilot project aspect to implement Governor Kim's administrative pledge of a 'Visiting Gangwon Provincial Office,' selecting key tasks of each city and county as strategic projects for cooperation with the province.
Depending on the tasks, the province plans to concretize and systematize discussion topics by reflecting the demands of cities and counties through various methods such as cooperation meetings attended by provincial and local officials, residents' forums, and visits to ongoing project sites.
Governor Kim previously expanded the meeting, which was attended by about 20 provincial office directors, to include section chiefs and decided to regularize the expanded executive meetings to be held once a month.
Jeong Il-seop, Chief Administrative Officer of the province, said, "We will build a One-Team cooperation network for Gangwon Special Autonomous Province through sharing visions and current issues between the province and cities and counties."
