Turkey: "Two More Ukrainian Grain Export Ships Set Sail"

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced on the 8th (local time) that two additional vessels exporting Ukrainian grain have departed from Black Sea ports.


The cargo ship Sakura loaded 11,000 tons of soybean oil at the Odesa port and set sail for Italy, while the Arizona loaded 48,458 tons of corn and departed for Turkey. Both vessels are registered under Liberia.


Following four ships on the 1st and 5th, four more grain transport ships departed from Ukraine's Odesa port yesterday, carrying a total of 160,000 tons of sunflower oil and grain.


As of today, a total of 12 ships have departed carrying Ukrainian grain.


On the 22nd of last month, Ukraine and Russia agreed, under the mediation of the United Nations and Turkey, to ensure the safe navigation of Ukrainian grain export vessels.
