[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Maeil Dairies announced on the 8th that it was selected as a top-tier company for two consecutive years in the Fair Trade Commission's 2021 Fair Trade Agreement evaluation in the dealership sector.
The Fair Trade Commission's dealership agreement evaluation was introduced to support compliance with fair trade laws and promote win-win cooperation between suppliers and dealerships. The evaluation is divided into three grades: top-tier, excellent, and good, and incentives are provided to companies with outstanding evaluations.
Maeil Dairies was the only company among the evaluated firms to receive the top-tier grade for two consecutive years, having established fairness in contracts by enacting and adhering to internal regulations detailing the receipt amounts, payment amounts, and contract termination procedures with dealerships.
Maeil Dairies implements various welfare programs centered on dealership families and recently established a Dealership Win-Win Fund Center to systematically operate diverse win-win programs tailored to different life stages. These include expanded loan interest support using a 10 billion KRW scale win-win fund, tuition support for dealership children, health checkup discounts, congratulatory and condolence supplies, and summer vacation support.
Last year, Maeil Dairies was recognized for its contribution to establishing a fair trade order and spreading a culture of win-win cooperation with dealerships, receiving the Fair Trade Commission's 'Model Company Award for Fair Trade Agreement Implementation.' It was also selected as a 'Dealership Companion Company,' a designation introduced for the first time last year.
A Maeil Dairies official said, “We are very pleased to have our efforts recognized so far,” adding, “We will continue to be a model company that thinks about sharing and growing together with dealerships and makes continuous efforts.”
