InterContinental Sells Chuseok Gift Sets... "Hotel Chefs Also Prepare Ancestral Rites Table" InterContinental, Chuseok Gift Set 'Master Chef's Premium Gourmet Set'.


[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX announced on the 8th that they will accept pre-orders for Chuseok gift sets until September 11. They offer sets composed of premium Woo-wol Hanwoo beef, ceremonial table prepared by InterContinental’s Korean cuisine specialist chefs, restaurant signature menus prepared as fully cooked products by hotel chefs, and wines selected by the head sommelier. Some products are packaged and sold in traditional bojagi wrapping cloth from 'Hoho-dang,' which embodies Korea’s unique sensibility.


They present Hanwoo beef sets made from eco-friendly Hanwoo raised with animal welfare practices at HACCP-certified eco-friendly designated farms, combined with various premium ingredients. These include the 'Master Chef’s Luxury Gourmet Set' featuring top-grade tenderloin, beluga caviar, autumn natural pine mushrooms, and fresh truffles; the 'Woo-wol Hanwoo Premium 12-Variety Set' allowing you to taste various cuts simultaneously; and the 'Woo-wol Hanwoo Steak and Lobster' set where you can enjoy tenderloin, sirloin, striploin, and live lobster freshly sourced from the morning seafood market on the same day. Also available are the 'Homemade Charcuterie Set' consisting of sausages, salmon, and cold cuts cooked with hotel patented technology that is low in salt and calories, and the 'Homemade Smoked Salmon Set' smoked for 12 hours with beech wood to reduce saltiness.


The 'InterContinental Chef’s Special Ceremonial Table,' prepared by Korean cuisine specialist chefs using top-grade ingredients, includes 10 types of ceremonial foods such as grilled dried yellow croaker, skewers, meat pancakes, and sea bream pancakes made with domestic dried yellow croaker, Hanwoo beef, and sea bream, delivered directly to your home. Fully cooked menu gifts include the 'Weilu Buddha Jang Set,' which the head chef personally cooks with ASC-certified abalone, silver ear mushrooms, pine mushrooms, dried sea cucumber, and dried scallops to let you enjoy the hotel restaurant’s signature dishes at home, and the 'Hakone Abalone Sauce Set' made with 5-year-old abalone from clean Wando.


Various wine sets recommended by the sommelier as Chuseok gifts are also offered. Limited sales include the 'Bourgogne Bouchard P?re & Fils Premier Cru Set,' composed of six wines produced in the Burgundy region of France, and the 'Chile Taita Wine Set,' containing three types of vintage wines with high rarity representing Chile. Additionally, the hotel’s newly introduced 'InterContinental Signature Tote Bag & Tumbler 2-Piece Set' is available.


The 2022 InterContinental Chuseok gift sets are available for pre-order until September 11, and the InterContinental Chef’s Choice products, Chef’s Special Ceremonial Table, and restaurant signature menus will be delivered directly by hotel staff only in Seoul and some metropolitan areas.
