[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won predicted on the 4th that President Yoon Seok-yeol would meet with U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in some form.

Former Director Park appeared on CBS Radio's Kim Hyun-jung News Show that day and said, "The idea that President Yoon will not meet her or is on vacation is just a paint motion (deceptive move)." He added, "I believe they will have a sudden meeting."

He mentioned the situation where U.S.-China tensions flared due to Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, noting the diplomatic reality that South Korea must be mindful of both the South Korea-U.S. and South Korea-China relationships. Former Director Park said, "China is in a position to completely blockade the Taiwan Strait and is willing to risk war, making the South Korea-U.S. alliance the strongest diplomatic foundation." He continued, "At a time when South Korea-China economic cooperation is more necessary than ever to secure markets, if President Yoon actively welcomes U.S. House Speaker Pelosi's visit to Korea, there will be side effects from China." Regarding this, he also mentioned that President Yoon's attendance at a play in Daehangno the previous day was "a hint that even though he is on vacation and at home, he can still go out."

Former Director Park referred to the past when former President Kim Dae-jung, as the opposition leader, visited the White House National Security Council and coincidentally met U.S. President Bill Clinton, saying, "This is diplomacy."

He expressed confidence in anticipating a meeting between President Yoon and Speaker Pelosi, saying, "If they meet unexpectedly, I will become a political master of level 10."
