Reading the Flow of Change: Dr. Song Gil-young's Big Data Lecture
Sharing New Work Directions for the MZ Generation and Shinjungnyeon
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation announced on the 4th that it will hold the 'Good Job 5060 Employment Trend Seminar' for the middle-aged preparing and considering reemployment in the rapidly changing future environment.
This event is a detailed program of the middle-aged career project 'Good Job 5060,' which has been jointly promoted since 2018 by four organizations: the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, Hyundai Motor Group, Ministry of Employment and Labor, and SangSangWoori, to solve the employment issues of the middle-aged.
Under the subtitle 'The Meaning and Value of Work in the New Normal Era,' this year's seminar will be conducted mainly through lectures by experts analyzing employment trends based on big data and sharing case studies.
During the case sharing session, stories from representatives of each generation who have chosen work and life reflecting their own thoughts and values will be heard. Representing the MZ generation is a young wallpaper installer, while middle-aged participants of Good Job 5060 active as youth job mentors, brunch writers, and YouTube creators will introduce their challenges. Following this, a lecture titled 'Milestones of My Work Through Big Data' will be held with Dr. Song Gil-young, who has conducted big data research for the past 20 years, exploring how the middle-aged can find their work and enhance its value in the future society amid changing world trends.
The 'Good Job 5060 Employment Trend Seminar' will be held both online and offline from the 18th. Those wishing to participate can apply through the 50+ portal starting from the 4th. Any middle-aged person preparing for employment can participate. Various prize events will also be held, offering Starbucks coffee coupons, recycled products, and more through a lottery among those who register in advance and participate in the live broadcast satisfaction survey.
Lee Sung-soo, Head of Business Operations, said, “The concept of a lifelong job is disappearing, and the ways and forms of working are constantly changing even now. Through this seminar, we hope the middle-aged generation will read future changes and trends in advance and take the opportunity to concretely consider their own values and plans regarding work.”
